Where would you recommend a fellow member to go to…
The Crab Trap and Pompano Joe’s on Scenic Gulf Drive. Both are a short drive from the resort. The food and atmosphere were great and priced at same level as other area restaurants.
For groceries, I recommend Publix or Winn-Dixie.
Definitely recommend the Sea Blaster dolphin tours. It’s affordable and the crew makes it so fun.
What was your favorite…
The condo itself was very clean. The washer and dryer in the unit was great so you don’t have to go home with a week’s worth of dirty laundry or trek to a shared facility. The onsite employees are all polite, friendly and helpful. I love that they offer to take unused, nonperishable items at the end of your stay to a local place to help those in need.
Place to go in the destination:
The swimming pool and private beach. We liked that the community requires gate codes for all points of entry.
Why did you choose this destination?
We had been to Amalfi in the past and it is our favorite resort. You can’t beat the beautiful sandy beach and water.
Were you traveling for a special occasion?
It was our first family vacation in four years.
What was your favorite memory of your vacation?
Spending time with our boys on the Sea Blaster, beach and pool.
Any tips for a traveler to this resort or destination? Anything you think they should bring?
Be prepared to have a relaxing vacation and feel like you are in your own condo. Bring beach chairs if you don’t want to rent and plenty of sunscreen.
How long have you been a Global Discovery Vacations member?
Since 2004. Amalfi was our first trip.
Why did you join the club?
Can’t beat the options of places to travel and it is a fraction of the price than if you didn’t belong. Yes, there is an upfront investment, but it pays for itself in first couple of years of use. If you aren’t able to use it one year, you don’t have to pay the annual activation fee.
How many trips have you taken using your membership?
Why do you think traveling is important?
Time away from your usual routine.
